Notes About the Violence
This show is very similar to Downton Abbey, for the most part, because it is a drama, there is not a lot of violence. But in the first season, at least, there are medical scenes that are rough.

Opening Scene
King George VI coughs up blood into a toilet, not particularly graphic.
Moves to the next scene, after you hear a toilet flush, showing impatiently waiting.
Princess Elizabeth is talking to a group about Prince Phillip's promotion. A phone rings and someone answers. A young Charles presents him with the medal...time to look away
The king is in surgery, graphic!
Unfortunately, it moves between a regular scene, then graphic surgery scenes, it is safe at 25 minutes when you see the king get up out of bed interleaved with Churchill making a speech.
A knock on the door, then it opens...
"Dr. Weir, your majesty"
The doctor sits down...just listen
He shows hankerchiefs with blood from his coughing.
"So, what's next?" - King
"Next?" - Doctor Weir
"I argued that His Majesty should be told at the time..."
Castle is shown in fog and bagpipes are playing...the king is coughing in bed
