Notes About the Violence
This show is very similar to Downton Abbey, for the most part, because it is a drama, there is not a lot of violence. But in the first season, at least, there are medical scenes that are rough.
Scenes
Foreign Secretary, Antony Eden is on a plane to America, he starts to fall ill...time to look away
Gets a shot
Hear ducks in the background.
"Colonel Charteris, your majesty"
"You asked to see me?" - Colonel
"I did. Do sit down" - Queen
Door closes
Queen is talking with Martin.
"Oh and Martin, preferably one, you know, not too stuffy. Sense of humor"
"Understood"
It switches to a scene with Antony in a hospital bed, but he is fine, and nothing medical is shown.
"
Nothing graphic is shown
Hear music playing in a car, then kids talking in the background
"Professor Hogg, Your Majesty"
"Who?" - Queen
"Colonel Charteris said you were expecting him"
"Oh yes" - Queen
(a knock at the door)
"Come!" - Churchill
"Good news, sir. It's a yes from Eisenhower, you were right, an invitation from the Palace has proved impossible for the American to refuse."
Winston gets excited and collapses, very quick scene.
(music playing while Queen looks at a book on Eisenhower)
"How bad is it this time?"
"It's impossible to know."
"I fear we do now have to put off the Americans"
